HomesMatrix exists because affordable-housing organizations run some of the most consequential work in their communities on tools that were never built for it — and every decision deserves to be traceable, defensible, and connected across the whole lifecycle.
Who’s building it
Built by a practitioner, not a vendor
HomesMatrix is built by a former Associate Executive Director of a Habitat for Humanity affiliate, with a background in finance and program management.
That means the platform starts from how these programs actually operate — how a family moves from application through eligibility, construction or repair, financing, and closing, and into the long relationship of stewardship that follows. The workflows, the separation of duties, the audit trail, and the affordability math aren’t features imagined from the outside; they’re the day-to-day realities of running these programs, turned into software.
